Lomatium is a draught tolerant plant once established, and prefers sandy dry soil, in full sun to partial shade.
Lomatium nudicuale has edible leaves, stems, roots and seeds. Seeds are also used in upper respiratory viral infections. Seeds make a nice food seasoning as well. Naturally grows form the coast, sub alpine meadows to sage brush stepp.
