Growing: Full sun and likes to grow along water. Where it grows wild on the east coast, it grows along the waters edge along with boneset and Joe Pye weed. It’s fairly easy to grow.
Edibility: Not really used as an edible.
Medicinal uses: It’s medicinal actions are quite underrated. it is a digestive bitter, sedating nervine, and diaphoretic when taken hot. It has a drying action for moist states
Permaculture Uses: Great pollinator attractor in wet areas or on the edge of a pond.
