Comfrey (Symphytum officinale)

$10.00

Latin name: Symphytum officinale
Plant Family: Borage (Boraginaceae)
Lifespan: Perennial
Origin: Europe
Growing: Thrives in full sun but also can grow in the shade. This is the perfect plant to start growing if you consider yourself a black thumb. Easiest plant that we have in the nursery to grow.
Edibility: It’s traditionally been eaten as a food for a long time by many different cultures. It’s one of my top three favorite greens in the garden and a big part of my regular diet.
Medicinal uses: It promotes cell growth and is used to heal broken bones, ligament tears and promotes healthy skin and lung function.
Permaculture Uses: Best mulch crop and dynamic accumulator in all of our gardens. I try to grow it in every guild that we have. Great attractor for pollinators, especially bees. A must have.

7 Layers Nursery cannot take any responsibility for any adverse effects from the use of plants. Always do research and seek advice from a professional before consuming and/or using a plant medicinally.
